I love this kind of writing that just pulls you in, grabs all your attention and you can't stop unless you finish it. Same with the picture, the first one, the more I looked at it the more beautiful it appeared, and for a moment, I felt myself getting pulled into the picture, a feeling I can't quite describe, but it was wonderful and fresh. So thank you, very much, for sharing!
Thanks for sharing your journey with us. It is so neat to read and hear about life in Australia and living more simply-something us Americans could all learn from.
This is making me rethink the idea that I need a house to live in. I’m single and 66 and work from wherever I am. I’ve done a lot of traveling but not like this. I moved around a lot in the last ten years after my last marriage broke up. The biggest struggle was the rent going up 25% every year since 2020. I have grown kids — can’t imagine doing it with toddlers! Great writing and thanks for sharing your journey!
Thanks Monica. My favourite thing about this way of travelling is meeting people from all walks of life and learning about the infinite ways people choose to spend their time, house themselves and make a living. I also love not being stuck in the rent cycle, it's very freeing. I can dm you some solo female travellers to follow if you're interested 😊
My family used to travel in a sedan car cross China for about a month once a year, before I went to study in Australia. That's before google and booking.com. There were challenging times but I loved it. I love the sound you gathered, and the meditation so much. Thanks so much dear Simone 🩵.
You are such a lovely writer, a delightful read. I also already feel much of this rings true although i am doing my adventure under much different circumstances. I have no idea how you do/did this with kids and a husband. But at the same time people say to me "I dont know how you're doing this alone!" 😅 Love you!

Thank you so much, what a beautiful compliment 🙏

On another note, a line that got me confused is,
"Over the past six years of bus and global travel, we have broken, lost and had stolen countless items."
Which just sounds so wrong to me.(I hope I'm not being subjective)
*had countless items stolen, should be the correct grammar I believe.
You are quite correct. We haven't stolen anything 😆 thank you!! And thank you for reading with such attentiveness 🙏

That sounds like quite the adventure! I really appreciate your support here and on YouTube, thank you! Where did you study in Aus btw?
I studied and lived in Melbourne for about 10 years dear Simone 😃! I have been to Perth once, loved it 😍

Thank you my love. I don't know how I do it either... I spend a lot of time not in the bus... I'm in awe of you doing it solo!! xx
I love this 💜, particularly the sense of being resourceful. So true. I find that a lot of the fear of change is created inside our heads.
Thank you Leti 🙏 Yes absolutely. I believe most fear comes from not trusting ourselves to be able to handle a situation when it arises.
